  • What is Medisafe Meds & Pill Reminder?

    Medisafe helps you manage and take your medication on time with our first-of-its-kind cloud-synced mobile medication management platform. Medisafe allows your family, friends & caregivers to aid (if you so choose) by being alerted as to whether or not you took your medication.

  • Why did my reminders stop working?

    The main reason is due to cleaning apps like Clean Master, 360 Security, CM security, Fast Booster and other similar apps. While cleaning your device, these apps terminate Medisafe’s reminders and put your health at risk. Here’s the only definite way to prevent these apps from interfering with Medisafe:

    1. Go to your device settings

    2. Tap on ‘Accessibility’

    3. Under ‘Services’ turn off the cleaning app

    4. Please restart your device (switch it off and back on)

    5. Enter your Medisafe app

    If you have a Zenfone device, do the following:

    1. Go to your ‘Asus Mobile Manager’

    2. Turn on ‘Allow’ for Medisafe

    If you have a Huawei device, do the following:

    1. Go to ‘Privacy and Security’ in your device settings

    2. Add Medisafe to your ‘Protected Apps’

    If you have Smart Manager, do the following:

    1. Go to your Smart Manager app and tap on ‘Battery’

    2. Under ‘App Power Saving’, tap ‘Details’

    3. Tap on ‘Medisafe’ and tap ‘Disable’

    If you have a Xiaomi device, do the following:

    1. Go to your device settings and tap ‘Additional Settings’

    2. Tap ‘Battery & Performance’, ‘Manage Apps Battery Usage’, ‘Choose Apps’

    3. Tap on ‘Medisafe’ and choose ‘No Restrictions’

    If you have a OnePlus device, do the following:

    1. Go to your device settings and tap ‘Battery’

    2. Tap ‘Battery Optimization’ from the top right menu icon

    3. Select all apps and disable ‘Medisafe’

    4. Then go to your device settings and tap ‘Sound and Notification’

    5. Tap ‘App Notifications’ and tap on ‘Medisafe’

    6. Change Medisafe to ‘Priority’

    That should get your reminders up and running again. If you did not get your next reminder please contact us at support@medisafe.com and we will assist you.

  • Why do you need these permissions?

    Medisafe complies with the MyPermissions Trust Certification Program Standards: MyPermissions

    Medisafe doesn’t ask for any unneeded permissions. “Contacts List” – if you choose to add a Medfriend to sync to your meds, a list of contacts will appear for your convenience. Medisafe never stores your address book content and doesn’t access your address book without your permission. “Find accounts on the device” – used in push messaging. In case a family member forgets to take a medication, we will notify you via a push notification, offering the opportunity to intervene.

  • How is my data protected?

    Medisafe is a HIPAA compliant solution and ISO 27001:2013 certified, which means we have put the most stringent security measures in place to protect your information.     There are many benefits to using Medisafe.

    In addition to an intuitive, user-friendly interface, we provide:

    1. Automatic backup. You can log-in to Medisafe and all your med information will be downloaded from the cloud.

    2. Social support system, by becoming a Medfriend, you can get notified when a loved one misses a medication.

    3. Keep track of your children’s medication, and even your pet’s by creating an internal user profile.

  • How do I create an account and backup my data?

    1. Tap on your avatar on the top left twice

    2. Choose an avatar and complete your information

    3. Tap ‘Sign Up’

    4. Add your email address and a password and tap ‘Sign up with email’

    5. Or tap on your side menu, tap ‘Settings’ and tap ‘Open Account’

  • How can I reset my password?

    In order to reset a password, please follow these steps:

    1. Tap on “Log in” (on the first welcome screen, or from the menu inside the app)

    2. Tap on “Reset password”

    3. Enter the email and phone number you used to create an account with Medisafe

    4. If the system doesn’t recognize your previous account, try to use another email, or send us an email to support@medisafe.com

  • How do I move my Medisafe account to my new device?

    1. Make sure you have created an account

    2. Download Medisafe on your new device

    3. Tap on ‘Login’ and enter your email address and password

  • Can I use Medisafe on two devices at the same time?

    Medisafe cannot be used on two devices at the same time. This feature is on our road-map for the future

  • What is the ‘+’ on the bottom of the pillbox screen?

    You can now easily add your measurements, medications and medication doses from your main screen by simply tapping on the ‘+’.

  • What is a Medfriend?

    A Medfriend is a family member, friend or caregiver that you can sync to your App.In case you forget your medication, Medisafe sends push notification to your Medfriend, offering her/ him to remind you to take your medication. A Medfriend needs to download Medisafe, and create an account in order to sync with you.

  • How do I add a Medfriend?

    1. Tap on the ‘Side Menu’ on the top left corner

    2. Tap on the area next to your avatar and tap ‘Invite Medfriend’

    3. Enter your Medfriend’s name, choose an avatar and tap ‘Send’

    4. Choose the manner in which you would like to send the code – email, text message, etc.

    5. Your Medfriend will receive an email or text message with your invitation code

    6. The Medfriend will tap on the link to open their Medisafe app, and they will be automatically synced to you. If the Medfriend does not have Medisafe on their device, the link will instruct them to download Medisafe and enter the invite code.

    7. Tap ‘OK’ on the Horray! Popup

  • Why can’t my Medfriend see my meds/ my dependent’s meds?
    1. Tap on your side menu and tap ‘Medications’
    2. Tap on your medication and tap the pen icon
    3. Tap on ‘Medfriend’ and add your Medfriend to your medication

  • How do I add a Dependent?

    1. Tap on the ‘Side Menu’ on the top left corner

    3. Long press on the medication to add a dose

    4. Alternatively tap on the ‘+’ on the bottom right and tap ‘Add dose’.

  • How do I set an advanced schedule?

    This schedule allows you to set your medications for specific intervals such as every 3 days and weekly medications. When you add a medication, please follow these steps:

    1. Tap ‘Schedule’

    2. Tap ‘specific days of the week’ and choose the days required to take the medication

    3. Tap ‘days interval’ and tap the ‘+’ to the intervals required between medications

  • How do I delete a medication?

    In order to delete a medication, please follow these steps:

    1. Tap on the ‘Side Menu’ on the top left corner

    2. Tap ‘Medications’

    3. Tap on the medication you want to delete

    4. Tap on delete (trash can icon)

    5. Choose if you would like to save or delete history

  • How can I delete a specific dose?

    In order to delete a specific dose, please follow these steps:

    1. Tap on the dose in your pillbox you want to delete

    2. Tap on the 3 dots in the upper right corner

    3. Tap on “Delete this dose”

    In order to edit a medication, please follow these steps:

    1. Tap on the ‘Side Menu’ on the top left corner

    2. Tap on ‘Medications’

    3. Tap on the medication you want to edit

    5. When you are done tap on “Save”

  • How do I change my pillbox quadrant times?

    1. Tap on your side menu and tap ‘Settings’

    2. Tap ‘General Settings’ and tap ‘Pillbox Setup’

    3. Choose your morning, afternoon, evening and night hours

  • How can I access my updates?

    Tap on your side menu on the top left and tap ‘Updates’ to access your updates and articles.

  • How can I add a note?

    In order to add a note to your medication, please follow these steps:

    1. Tap on your dose in your pillbox

    2. Tap on the 3 dots in the upper right corner

    3. Tap on ‘Add Note’

  • How do I set refill reminders?

    When you add a medication, tap more options to add a refill reminder:

    1. Select ‘Prescription Refill’

    2. Enter how many meds you currently have

    3. Turn off the refill reminder toggle if you do not want a reminder

    4. If you want a refill reminder, select the amount of meds you want remaining

    5. Set the time for your refill reminder

    Create your default number of meds remaining in your settings:

    1. Tap on your settings and tap ‘General Settings’

    2. Tap ‘default number of pills’

    3. Choose your default number of pills remaining before you receive a refill reminder

  • How do I stop refill reminders?

    If you do not want to receive refill reminders please do the following:

    1. Tap on the medication in your Med Cabinet

    2. Tap edit (pen icon on the top right)

    3. Tap ‘Rx Refill Reminder’ and un-tick the box next to ‘remind me to refill this prescription’.

    4. Tap ‘SAVE’

    If the box next to ‘remind me to refill this prescription’ is already un-ticked please do the following:

    1. Tick ‘Remind me to refill this prescription’

    2. SAVE the medication

    3. Then edit the medication and un-tick ‘Remind me to refill this prescription’

    4. Tap ‘SAVE’

  • How do I list my doctor with the medication they prescribed?

    You can now add your prescribing doctor to your medications. You can then send them a progress report of the medications they prescribed. To add them, please follow these steps:

    1. Tap on the ‘Side Menu’ on the top left corner

    2. Tap ‘Doctors’ and tap on the ‘+’

    3. Enter your doctor’s information and tap ‘DONE’

    4. When you add a medication, tap ‘More options’

    5. Tap ‘Doctor’ and add your doctor from the list

  • How do I add an appointment?

    Follow these steps to add an appointment:

    1. Tap on the ‘Side Menu’ on the top left corner

    2. Tap ‘Appointments’ and tap on the ‘+’

    3. Or tap on the ‘+’ on the bottom right and tap ‘Add Appointment’

    4. Enter your appointment details and tap ‘DONE’

  • How do I send a status report?

    Want to send your status report to your doctor? Please follow these steps:

    1. Tap on the ‘Side Menu’ on the top left corner

    2. Tap ‘Me’

    3. Tap ‘Send Status Report’

    4. You can select a recipient, edit the dates and tap send (arrow icon)

  • How do I add diary entries, allergies or side effects?

    1. Tap on your side menu and tap ‘Diary’

    2. Tap on the ‘+’ and type your entry

    3. Tap on ‘General’ to choose general, allergy, side effect or mood

    4. Tap ‘Done’

  • How do I export my diary entries?

    1. Tap on your side menu and tap ‘Diary’

  • How does Medisafe work on Android Wear?

    Medisafe strives to provide ‘information that you need, when you need it’ kind of experience on Android Wear. Notification cards will show up on your smartwatch when it’s time to take your medications – you don’t need to configure anything.
    When it’s time to take a medication, the smartwatch will show a notification card with the medication information and actions that you can take (in parallel with the notification on the mobile device).
    In addition, if the smartwatch’s screen happens to be on, at the time of your medication reminder (not the black/white screen), you will see a white screen with a ‘shake to take’ function – shake your wrist and the pill will be marked as taken!
    Your pill reminders for today are synced with the smartwatch, so even if it is not connected to the phone you’ll see a reminder on the smartwatch.

  • I don’t See Medisafe’s Reminders On My Smartwatch

    Currently, Medisafe supports only Android Wear.

    If you have an Android Wear, please follow these steps:

    1. Open the ‘Android Wear’ app on your phone

    2. Go to Settings and tap on ‘Resync apps’

    3. Wait for a couple of moments for the apps to be resynced to your smartwatch

    Now, next time you need to take a medicine, your smartwatch should show a notification card from Medisafe.

  • How do I export meds from my Pharmacy?

    This feature is only available for US users.

    1. Tap on your side menu and tap ‘Settings’

    2. Tap ‘Import meds from your pharmacy/clinic’

    3. Tap on your pharmacy or search for your clinic

    4. Enter your username and password and tap ‘Connect’

    5. Select your medications and tap ‘Next’

    6. Tap on the highlighted meds to set the schedule and then tap ‘Done’

    7. Your meds will then be imported to your app

  • How do I snooze my meds until I get home?

    This feature is only available on devices running an OS of 6.0 or higher.

    3. When you get your popup notification, tap on the snooze icon and select until home/work

    6. Your friend will receive an email or message with a link.

    7. If your friend has Medisafe, the link will open the app and you will be automatically synced as Medfriends.

    8. If your friend does not have Medisafe, the link will send them to the app store.

    9. Once they download Medisafe and open the app, you will be automatically synced.

    Be sure to allow your notifications in order to be notified if your Medfriend misses a med.

  • Why can’t my Medfriend see my meds/ my dependent’s meds?

    1. Tap on your side menu and tap ‘Medications’

    2. Tap on your medication and tap the pen icon

    3. Tap on ‘Medfriend’ and add your Medfriend to your medication

    4. Save the medication

  • How do I delete a Medfriend or Dependent?

  • How to turn on Medisafe Notifications

    Please try the following to turn on notifications and sounds:

    1. Go to iPhone settings

    2. Scroll down application list and tap on Medisafe

    3. Tap on notifications

    4. Turn on Allow Notifications

    5. Turn on Sounds, Badge App Icon and Show on Lock Screen

  • I don’t get an alarm sound on my iPhone

    Please try and check the following:

    1. Go to iPhone settings

    2. Tap on notifications

    3. Tap on Medisafe

    4. Check that the sound option is ‘on’

    5. Check your mute button is not selected on the side of your device

    6. If all settings are correct, force reboot your device and you should get your notification sound

  • How do I edit a medication?

    In order to edit a medication, please follow these steps:

    1. Tap on your “Med Cabinet” at the bottom of your pillbox

    2. Swipe left on a medication and select ‘Edit’

    3. Or tap on the arrow on the right of the med and tap ‘Edit’

    4. When you are done editing, tap on “Update”

    Yes Medisafe is still free!  Medisafe as you’ve always used it is free, but now we are offering extras such as new theme colors, unlimited Medfriends, unlimited measurements, unlimited  family members, priority support and more for purchasing in the app.

  • Why should I register for the free version if I don’t want any in-app purchases?

    Whether you prefer  free or premium, It’s important that you register so you won’t lose your medications or history in your account — such as when you get a new device or if you were to lose your current device. As long as you registered, you can download any version of the app at any time — or even switch between the Android and iPhone versions — and all your meds and history are there for you. Otherwise, you’d have to enter all your meds over again because we have no way of matching you to your history.

  • What’s the difference between a paid app and an in-app purchase?

    Medisafe is a free app —  you can go to Google Play or the App Store and download and use it for free. So-called  “paid apps” require you to pay up to $59.99 to download before you can use them at all.
    Medisafe now has in-app purchases that don’t affect the free version at all, but allow premium members to have unlimited access to Medfriends, measurements, dependents, no banner ads, change their theme colors and more.

  • Why don’t I see any options to buy In-app purchases?

    We’re slowly launching the in-app purchases in phases starting August 2016 to make sure we listen to all our users’ feedback and suggestions, so if you don’t see it in your version yet, don’t worry — It’s coming soon!

  • Can I cancel my In app purchases? How?

    Sure, but we are sorry to see you go! If you purchased it on the Google Play Store, you can cancel your premium subscription by going to the Google Play Store app on your device → Medisafe page, and cancel your subscription. On iPhone or Apple Watch, you can cancel your subscription by following the directions here: http://support.apple.com/en-il/HT202039.

  • How am I charged?

    Payment will be charged to your credit card through your Google Play or iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the subscription period. There is no increase in price when renewing. Subscriptions can be managed and auto-renew turned off in Account Settings after purchase.

  • I’d like to buy but can’t afford it. Can you help?

  • Why did you feel the need to charge?

    The same app you’ve always loved is still free! We’re offering special in-app purchases to continue supporting the Medisafe team and delivering on special requests from some users.

  • Does this mean eventually Medisafe won’t be free?

    The Medisafe app you’ve always loved is still free and there are no plans to ever change that!

  • Why ask for in-app purchases permission if it’s free?

    This is a requirement of app stores  before we can offer any in-app purchases.

  • I see some versions of the app have new colors – how do I get them?

  • I see a spot for promo code? Where can I get a promo code?

    Sometimes we are able to offer a free subscription to those who support the app in other ways. Have an idea about how you could help? Contact customer service at info@medisafe.com. Also, we occasionally email promo codes to our free registered users interested in trying the premium offer.

  • Does my Medfriend or dependent family member have to buy premium too?

    No – they can remain free.!

     

     

  • Why is something I see free for me but not my friend?

    Your friend may have just joined and may not have access to unlimited extras that you’ll enjoy for free for being a loyal user prior to the Premium launch. If so, you should register so the next time you download you can sign in as a previous user and keep your status.

  • I want my old Medisafe back!

    Your old Medisafe never left – it’s still available for free.

  • I have a great idea of something for Medisafe. How do I tell you?

  • There are plenty of apps that don’t charge. Why not just use one of them?

    You can still use Medisafe for free of charge, have direct influence on enhancements to the app, and if you ever want to upgrade, all your history and award-winning user experience is only going to be better!

  • Why is it priced that way?

    Our prices are based on feedback from Medisafe users, including ongoing surveys, emails, and other marketplace factors.

  • Will my insurance pay for Medisafe Premium?

    Unfortunately not at this time.

  • Can I have a free trial first?

    Demand has been high so far, but we  occasionally email promo codes to our free registered users interested in trying the premium offer.
